Purpose:
EQUIP is designed to help equip and train you in the pursuit of godliness as a believer in Christ. 

Our Approach: Our offerings in EQUIP will help train you in the WORD by offerings such as: basic theology, bible, how to study your Bible, tools to teach others in various settings, particular theological and biblical etc.. We will also offer classes on marriage, parenting, biblical roles of men and women, servant leadership, how to deal with conflict, biblical forgiveness as we live in COMMUNITY together. Last we will have offerings that push us to action and call us to be on MISSION such as: how to share your faith, living missionally in your neighborhood, God's heart for the nations, ministry to the least of these, sanctity of life, the issue of race, caring for the poor and oppressed, etc...

 

FALL 2017 EQUIP

ESSENTIAL CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES

STARTS Sept. 24 // SUNDAYS 9AM // RM 120

This is an 8 week class that will attempt to systematically present what the apostle Paul called "the whole counsel of God" (Acts 20:27). We will study biblical topics by examining particular Bible passages and selected readings through Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology, and also through interacting with questions each week in a student workbook. The aim of the class will be to help students better understand Essential Christian Doctrines including: God's work in the Christian life, the purposes and structure of Christ's church, understanding spiritual gifts, the second coming of Christ and what the Scriptures teach about heaven & hell. 

SUPPLIES: Bible, workbook (given the first week of class), Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology (you can find this book on Amazon or at christianbook.com)

THE PROMISED ONE: SEEING JESUS IN GENESIS

STARTS Sept. 24 // SUNDAYS 5PM // CHILDCARE AVAILABLE

After the resurrection, when Jesus used Scripture to explain who He was and why He came, where did he start?  In the Old Testament.  And this is where Nancy Guthrie's ten-week study, The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis, beings to look for Christ, finding him in the people, promises, and patterns of the book of Genesis.  The Promised One will help you newly discover Jesus in the foreshadows of the Old Testament, apply the gospel found in Genesis to issues such as shame, fear, and the desire for security and significance, and develop your longing for what is ahead when the world is once again made new.  Join the women of C3 as we gain a fresh perspective on the book of Genesis, a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture, and much more! This study utilizes videos & faciliated discussion time. 

 

 RE|ENGAGE 

BEGINS SEPT 24 // SUNDAYS 5PM

Re|Engage examines God’s design for marriage and applies principles from the Bible to guide couples towards growth in their relationship with each other. It is for any married couple, whether your relationship is in chaos, difficult, or you simply desire to grow closer as a couple. 

RE l ENGAGE offers hope to marriages by helping couples move toward oneness. This is an 16 week program and each meeting includes a time of teaching or a testimony by a couple that has walked with Christ in the midst of blessing and hard times and a small group discussion, which follows a specified curriculum.
